All Imprest products are pressure impregnated in our own fully automatic treatment tank. Through vacuum-pressure treatment process impregnation liquid is being pressed into sapwood which protects timber against weather conditions in contact with the ground.  Depending on the usage of products we make either HC 3 or HC4 class impregnation according to EN351-1 (European Safety Standard) / AB or A class impregnation according to NTR (Nordic Wood Preservation Council). 

Treatment liquid used is Tanalith E. Tanalith E is chrome & arsenic free liquid based on copper compounds & water which protects wood effectively against fungi, rot & termites.  Tanalith E is not toxic and is recommended for children outdoor play equipment. 

 

 

                           
 

 

During winter time wood is being pre-warmed in specially heated room. After the impregnation process wood is stored in shaded & heated room to enable the liquid to fix properly.
